integrative trauma therapy professional training + consultation

Trauma therapy is a specialty, with a body of knowledge and a set of advanced skills. Without support, ongoing training and deep compassion and care, burnout is inevitable. And once compassion fatigue sets in, we’re less connected, clear, and confident and our overall effectiveness in life suffers. Outcomes — both for ourselves and those we provide care to — improve when consultation is an ongoing part of life.

As well as consistent support, a major part of solid trauma work is being cross-trained. Each trauma-focused method, when judiciously blended into the therapist’s primary approach, can complement, supplement, and increase the effectiveness of treatment.

I provide trauma-focused consultation on how to thoughtfully integrate aspects of Intra-Relational AEDP (AEDP Parts Work), Internal Family Systems (IFS). Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and somatic, mind-body practices in to a foundational practice of Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
